Day 11 of the 2026 Senior Showcase | Spain Park Senior Session + Family Mini Session

One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting the chance to truly know the people I photograph, and this Spain Park senior has been such a joy to get to know over the last few months through my daughter. He is bright, polite, funny, and obviously handsome — the kind of young man that leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets.

We planned a mini senior session to celebrate his graduation from Spain Park, and it was the perfect way to capture this exciting season of life. He made my job easy with his relaxed personality and genuine smile. Every image reflected exactly who he is.

To make the session even more special, we also added a family mini session! I always love when families take advantage of this option because senior year is such a meaningful milestone for everyone involved. These moments are not just about celebrating the senior, but also the family who has supported and encouraged them along the way.

Parents often ask how family portraits work during a senior session, and I usually recommend scheduling family photos at the beginning or the end of the session. This gives me time to focus on the senior individually and helps create more natural expressions once the audience disappears. Seniors tend to relax a little more when it’s just the two of us, and that always shines through in the final gallery.

I am so excited for what is ahead for this incredible senior. The University of Alabama is getting THE BEST next year, and I know he is going to do amazing things there!
