One thing I hear from parents all the time is, “My senior is only doing this session to make me happy.” And honestly, especially with senior boys, I completely understand! Not every senior wants a long portrait session with multiple outfits and locations, and that is exactly why I offer senior mini sessions.

This Class of 2026 senior chose a quick and simple 20-minute session at one of my favorite Birmingham locations, Sloss Furnaces. With one outfit and a short session time, we were able to create timeless senior portraits without making the experience feel overwhelming or drawn out.

What I love most about mini sessions is that they still capture genuine personality and meaningful memories. Even in a short amount of time, we walked away with portraits his family will treasure for years. I also loved getting to catch up with this senior and his mom. They are such a sweet family, and spending time with them was such a joy!
